Welcome to Justice Q

Justice Q is a new specialist legal service run for and by LGBTQIA+ people.

The team includes experienced lawyers and community development workers operating to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and access to justice.

Free and confidential legal assistance is available to LGBTQIA+ people in the south-east with in-person and telephone appointments at our offices in Springvale and Narre Warren.

Do you identify as LGTBQIA+ want to know more about your rights? Request a community legal education session with our Community Development worker. We can help you understand what the law says if you’re discriminated against on the basis of your gender, sexuality or sex.

People in need of legal assistance are welcome to access our services as we prepare to launch Justice Q, however, if you would prefer specialist assistance in the meantime, please refer to Q+Law at the Pride Centre.

Acknowledgment

SMLS acknowledges the important work of others within the Community Legal Centre sector to support LGBTQIA+ Victorians. Those services include the former LGBT Legal Service at Southside Justice and currently the Q+Law program at Fitzroy Legal Service located at the Pride Centre in St Kilda.
